About

What this site is.

ControlMind is a home for writing and interactive simulations at the intersection of three fields that spent most of their history in separate rooms: classical control theory, robotics, and modern machine learning.

The premise: the interesting problems of the next decade — humanoids, autonomous vehicles, dexterous manipulation, surgical robots, on-orbit servicing — all live in that intersection. They need the rigor of control, the pragmatism of robotics, and the flexibility of learning. Writing that treats them as one subject is still rare, so this site tries to do that.

Every post ships with something you can run. A plot you can tune, a simulation you can break, a derivation with the code next to it.

Mirrors to Medium for reach; canonical lives here.
